Rex492 is Germany avant-garde artist and designer from Berlin. The project [Ilex] is Rex’s 1st metaverse project, as he is recklessly in love with the idea of metaverse in 2020. Constant contemplating on existentialism subjects, Rex believes true artists are cosmogonists, in other words, the artists of beings. Therefore, he creates this semi-flora, semi fauna creature, named “Ilex”, as the 1st Homo Meta in the metaverse.

Beforehand, Rex devotes 15 years entirely to his profession as a successful fashion designer and advisor, whose studios are located globally in Berlin, Milan, Tokyo, Toronto and Guangzhou.

Rex has a deep appreciation for Gaudí’s architecture. He believes the best part of metaverse is it gives him a chance to have fun easily with space and time. He believes web3 and crypto is endowed with creativity, originality and an innate sense for art.
